How To Reduce Belly Fat After The Holidays

The holidays come and go and usually leave you with a few extra holiday pounds that weren’t on your wish list. When creating your list of new years resolutions; losing weight and working to reduce belly fat is no doubt at the top of your list. How then, are you going to make this year the year that your weight loss goals are more than just words on paper? By following these simple tips you will be able to find success and meet your weight loss goals once and for all.

1. Detox your pantry. Get rid of the holiday junk once and for all. Set some “treat” goals. Whether it be not sugar at all, or only eating dessert one day a week; find something that will work for you and keep some boundaries. If you are serious about trying to reduce belly fat, be strict with your boundaries.

2. Increase your produce. Fill your kitchen with fresh fruits and vegetables and build your meals around them. The more fruits and vegetables you eat the better. They are low in calories and full of fiber and nutrients that will help you to feel great.

3. Increase your exercise. While diet is a huge part of your reduce belly fat regimen, it is also important that you include exercise in your routine. Burning off fat that you have accumulated is going to help you lose weight. Include both cardiovascular exercise and strength training into your workouts. Aiming to do cardio five to six times per week and strength training at least three times per week.

4. Be accountable. Find ways to hold yourself accountable. Having a workout buddy can be helpful. Knowing you have someone to meet you when you are supposed to workout makes you more likely to show up. Weigh yourself daily. By keeping track of the numbers on the scale you can see what routines are working for you and which aren’t.

Be smart with your food choices. Work hard at your exercise. You will be able to reduce belly fat through consistency and accountability.
